Leyre Aramendia
Research Biochemist
Leyre joined Asparia in 2019 as a Research Biochemist working in both the Glycobiology and Analytical Chemistry teams. Before joining Asparia Leyre had gained industry experience in biopharmaceutical production at a large CRO.
Leyre has ample experience in the production and analysis of synthetic glycans and glycopeptides. Her work concentrates on the enzymatic synthesis of complex oligosaccharides and glycopeptides. In addition, she is involved in the analysis of N and O-glycans and the isolation of glycans from natural sources.
Leyre studied Biochemistry at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain) and obtained a Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Spain).
